In addition to our work with prospective parents, AARKS is committed to providing expectant mothers who face the choice of adoption with support and services during their pregnancy. Often, expectant mothers come to AARKS with many questions: Should I place my baby for adoption? How do I know if adoption is right for me and my baby? Can I select the parents when I place my baby for adoption? If I choose open adoption for my baby, can I visit him or her in the future? Among other services, we assist expectant mothers in creating a personalized adoption plan and provide the option to select from pre-screened adoptive families. AARKS’ attorneys are also available to provide free legal counsel to expectant mothers who wish to have their own legal representation for their adoption plan.
